so i read God’s Debris by scott adams today. he’s the guy who does dilbert. i have to say i’m a bit disappointed…

they called it a thought experiment. the underlying premisce is an average guy, delivering a package to some old man, who apparently knows everything there is to know. he tells the guy that godis omnipotent, so more or less his life is extremely boring, no challenge or interest or emotion. so he decides to try to destory himself, subsequently creating the universe and people from his “god-dust”, and that all things made of this dust are working towards the reassembling of god by being good people and helping to further the social and economic success of society. evolution is explained, briefly, as god making revisions to the design. the bulk of the book is just systematically taking universal concepts and trying it’s best to pervert them, altho not all are that ridiculous. the one about reincarnation was particularly intriguing. overall it was a good read, but i just found parts of it tiring, since most of the chapters are structured the same and have the same outcome, simply replacing the subject matter.

also, the ending was quite absurd and cheesy. religion war? the passing of the torch? sheesh. i guess i’d recommend it, but don’t buy it. it’s not worth the 20 bux…

i think you should read it. i think you’d get a good laugh out of it, and it’s pretty short. it took about an hour for me to read it.

it appears someone on the site is trying to take cjs identity away from him, although the exclusion of missing words does give them away.
we still have an imposter on our hands.
