on the way to work, i was half asleep. there’s an intersection near work where i usually turn left. well this particular day, there was construction on the road that i wasn’t really paying any attention to. the intersection had 2 turn lanes, i was in the righthand one since the lefthand one had a bigass dump truck parked in it. i go to turn, and slam on the brakes when i see the intersectiong road blocked off and a bunch of people in it working. not really thinking about it, i drove into the opposite side of the road into oncoming traffic (which there was btw, the other side wasn’t closed) and the people all were looking at me like what the fuck? i drove against traffic for maybe a quarter mile til i could get over into the other side. it was nuts.
